Wolves have managed to start off nicely in their return to top flight football and have registered a fine win against Wigan. However they faltered last week against Manchester City, who beat them 1-0 thanks to a lone goal from Emmanuel Adebayor.
Wolves had a lot of chances in that game and manager Mick McCarthy was left to rue what might have been. However his team bounced back from that loss to beat Swindon Town 6-5 on penalties in the Carling Cup during the id week. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Chris Iwelumo, Michael Kightly and Kevin Foley continue to miss out with various injuries.
Hull City bounced back in a big way in their game against the Bolton Wanderers after being absolutely dominated by Tottenham in their last game. This weekend Hull City played a full 90 minutes and showed excellent ball control in many ways. Kamel Ghilas scored an important goal in the 60th minute to lead the team towards three points and he will be looking to do the same against the Wolves this weekend. Another big win could do a lot for the team’s confidence and in the standings.
